Nordin is one of seven artists chosen by Agency to create works that are representative of Australia’s cultural diversity, showcasing the current contemporary artistic and cultural tapestry of Australia to an international audience. The new Australian Embassy was opened by the Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese on 24 October 2023.

Agency worked with an esteemed selection panel to choose a diverse group of artists, who were able to demonstrate their exploration of important contemporary themes such as environmental maintenance, intergenerational knowledge transfer, global identity and the essence of Country.

The Australian Embassy is one of the three largest Australian diplomatic presences globally and is the hub of Australian engagement with the United States. The new embassy showcases the very best in Australian design, materials and architectural excellence, thanks to the innovative design by prominent Australian architectural studio, Bates Smart.
